Go for it everybody.
If you don't join, there will be people laughing at you, you will loose freinds, and you will be called a corporate slut. And you don't want to be called a corporate slut, do you? - Tedster , posted 02/06/06

Use your voice to help build a better online community.
One of the best things F-A.net has going is the fact that it is member-built, and still in the early stages. You dont like tribe anymore - what about it dont you like? Here's your chance to help build something better. UNLIKE Tribe and the others, your opinion matters there. - gothalicious , posted 02/05/06

Free-Association.net is SO MUCH BETTER THAN TRIBE!
This is so cool! It is like Tribe once was, ONLY BETTER because the members are really building it!

Check it out!

Most Promising Tribe Replacement
If you're deeply annoyed at the recent changes in Tribe's TOU and/or UI, free-association.net isn't your only option, of course. It is, however, the only option that is strictly non-commercial, (going to be) hosted offshore (looking to be Peru...go figure!) and legally insulated as best we know how to ensure that we're never censored beyond the almost "wild west" mentality of our hosting service and also that the US government can't shut us down.

It's kind of like living in a house with no drywall, exposed wiring, and a dirt floor just now, but you can see the architect's intent, and you know it's going to be pretty damned cool when it's done, which isn't even going to take that long. Besides, you can help, too, and win the undying gratitude of similarly free-expression-minded people.

The features we already have are pretty good, and our goal is to be as useful to our target audience as Tribe used to be (if not more so!)...the same audience of deviants, burners, perverts, visionaries, freaks, subversives, and general all-around individuals that made Tribe THE alternative to the MySpaces, LJs, and Friendsters of the world once upon a time. - Sonya , posted 02/02/06
