No B.S.
When Dr. Gordon enters the room, you'd better pay attention. He is more prepared and more efficient than ANYONE I've ever met. I wrote "anyone" in caps because I'm not comparing him to just doctors. This man has a calling! He can diagnose more in 2 minutes than other doctors can over a dozen visits.

Another doctor I know recommended Dr. Gordon about a year ago as a G.P. (a dying breed), and I went in for an annual check-up. I was so impressed by his efficacy and dry humor that I moved both of my teenaged children to his practice. He was so focused on ME and MY HEALTH during the 30 minutes he examined me. He arranged for my first ever mammogram and for a sleep study to address my chronic sleep apnia - which he made me take very seriously for the first time. It turned out that I do have a very severe case of apnia. I guess I'd been in denial about it until Dr. Gordon discussed it with me. I now use a CPAP machine, and everything about my life has improved because of it.

Last month, I tripped coming down some stairs. The next day, I brought my hugely swollen, rainbow-colored foot to Dr. Gordon's office. I have no insurance, so Dr. Gordon tries to get me in and out as quickly as possible, while still being very thorough. He was able to diagnose a broken 5th metatarsal without insisting that I shell out another $400-$500 for an ex-ray. It turns out that the treatment for a broken 5th metatarsal and for a bad sprain/strain are pretty much the same. I wore one of those big boots with the velcro straps for the past 6-7 weeks, and it's pretty much as good as new.

More than anything, I get a feeling of having been extremely well cared for when ever I visit Dr. Gordon. That feeling is increasingly hard to find in medicine today. - SheriBoBeri , posted 07/26/10

Best ever Doc
Dr Flash Gordon is the best Primary Care Physician that I have ever had. I had to leave Dr Gordon’s practice for a few years due to a work related geographical re-location. I was so happy to be able to return to his high level of care---I had been spoiled by his intense individual attention to each patient—by his interest in ALL (and I mean ALL) of a person’s medical issues.
Dr Gordon’s Office is a clean well lighted place. The reception room has Hot Chocolate and a nice new high tech stereo player—his front office receptionists were polite and friendly—his medical assistant was kind professional and absolutely first rate.
Since I was a returning patient who he had not seen or treated in over three years, and there were significant medical issues that had transpired during that time period, Dr Gordon spent about an hour with me. After the hour was over Dr Gordon forgave his one hour lunch break to further counsel me on all sorts of other medical issues---weight, sight, hearing, blood sugar, cholesterol ,exercise, diet, skin care, etc. You will not find this level of care in many places. I am so happy to be back. I left the office in an upbeat mood—really feeling that I now have a great partner to help me stay in good health.
If you are going to visit Dr Gordon you might have to wait a bit—this is because he is probably talking to a patient the way that you would like to be talked to—I don’t care about this---I bring a good book and my IPhone. I should mention that Dr Gordon is an up to date high tech guy with and old fashioned family Dr approach to care—you almost feel that he would do house calls if he could. - Dorn , posted 04/02/09

Flash is our favorite Dr. EVER!
At first I cried when Flash became a private DR., and our insurance did not make him available anymore. Then the hubby got a new job, we opted for the PPO insurance, so Flash is back in our lives again! YAY! I actually met him years ago during St. Stupid's at a party in Berkeley. We have been friends ever since. When he got to be my Primary Care Physician life with the medical stuff became perfect!

Actually, I needed to find his phone # today to make an appointment. It is to blasting hot to get up and find the phone book. So I punched him in to google and his tribe page came up. I got my wish to find the phone #. Now I can ask him to be my friend too!

Flash, we LOVE you! - Leslie , posted 07/17/06

Best Doc I know!!!
Here's a doctor that can really help! Since I first met him in the mid 80's, when he was with Rock Med at the Dead shows, I have never met another doctor you can be so open with, and get the explanations and help you need. He has helped me and my daughter on numerous occasions when my own HMO left me wanting for explanations to what ailed me and my daughter.
I had a friend involved in a bad car accident on the way to Burning Man 1 1/2 years ago and was airlifted to the Reno hospital, but they released him with horrible dizziness/vertigo. Who did I take him to see but Dr. Flash Gordon. Dr. Gordon has spent years involved with the non-profit organization H.E.A.R. and he solved my friend's lingering dizziness for good!!(It's been 1 1/2 years now).
He can help with whatever ails you, with a great sense of humor.
I can't recomend another doctor in the Bay Area as highly as I can recomend Dr. Flash! - Blair , posted 03/10/05

Helpful and Knowledgeable
Flash is a helpful and friendly Dr.

His recommendation for how to sustitute an affordable and widely available nonprescription drug for an expensive prescription was a great relief and saved me a lot of money. - Davor , posted 07/26/04

Caring, Informative, Practical, Nonjudgemental
In my experience, Flash has been an excellent Dr and a big help. He gives practical treatment advice on how to care for yourself better along with his diagnosis and prescription. I have been taking his advice on how to recover more quickly from colds and congestion for years and it has always served me well. - Mermaid , posted 07/26/04

ok, so i'm recommending myself. izzat a problem?
i'm a primary care physician practicing in marin county. my office is in greenbrae, at 1300 south eliseo dr., suite 200, near marin general. the phone's 415.461.2262.

i've been in marin since 1990, but was working for another physician until march 2004, when i decided to open my own office so i could do things my way. before that, i ran the haight ashbury free clinic's medical section.

in the past, i did emergency medicine (i ran the residency training program for UCSF at mission emergency (san francisco general hospital).

since my practice in marin is new, it's still pretty slow. it's possible to get an appointment within a day or so. i take all PPO insurance, and do the best i can to keep costs down for folks who are self-pay.

please visit www.flashgordonmd.com for more info. - flash , posted 07/25/04
