The Everyday Ensemble is back!! featured in The Bright River
The Bright River is one of the most unique and touching pieces I have seen. It's an incredible mix of hip hop theatre, Jewish folklore, klezmer, beatbox, and jazz. How they've managed to get all that to work together is beyond me! You have to see it to believe it!
The Bright River takes us on a mass transit tour of the afterlife...an afterlife that mirrors our world. It's a modern re-telling of Dante's Inferno...how scary to think that what we're doing here might actually be affecting more than just the planet.
If you saw it at the Transparent Theater in Berkeley, you'll be thrilled to see what it has become. If you didn't see it, get your tickets now! It is already selling out!! - - catalayse , posted 11/23/04

Everyday Ensemble is like nothing you've ever seen or heard!
I saw the Everyday Ensemble perform "The Bright River" at the Transparent Theater in Berkeley last year, and it was incredible. They're comprised of a storytelling flutist/beatboxes, a beatboxer vocalist, cello, and percussion. The result is a compelling tale that combines adventure, folklore, action, and comedy, with a truly amazing set of musical talents that is beyond your wildest imagination! - Jenni , posted 11/18/04
