Killed My Battery!!!
Don't take your car to Young's Auto Repair. I recently moved to California from Michigan (June 2007), but before shipping my car here, I took in for maintenance and got among other things, a new battery.
When I got to California, I failed my smog test, so took it into Young’s to have my EGR valve fixed. I took it in on a Thursday and he said it would be ready on Friday, but he called on Friday to say “he did not feel like cleaning it out that day and would work on it more on Monday.” When I went to pick my car up on Monday, I found that he had left my car on all weekend with the car in gear (he had parking brake up) and my battery was dead.
When I told him my battery was dead, he began telling me how he noticed that my battery was weak and that he even had one of his mechanics work on it. He felt dumb when I told him my battery was less than 3 months old. I waited 30 minutes while he charged my battery; he said it should be fine after the charge.
A week later I found my car again would not start. I called AAA and their test of my battery indicated that it was dead (0 volts). To say the least I was pissed that I had to pay for a new battery, again! I won’t be taking my car to Young’s again, to say the least, they have poor work ethic and don’t take proper care of people’s vehicles.
