be wary
I was greatly disappointed by a haircut and color by Erin. Unfortunately she was recommended by Kim, one of the lead stylists at WAK, so that reflects poorly on her too. This bad experience required many months of grow-out and several color corrections (by another salon obviously). Beyond poor hair skills, Erin's demeanor is also very unprofessional. If you want to listen to her talk petty about people you will never know, schlep around in rubber flipflops, take a hamburger break during your appt, then maybe you can tolerate her. the cut and color won't be worth it tho! - marissa , posted 05/31/06

Lisa Rocks!
I get my hair done by Lisa at the W.A.K Shack and she rocks. She's sweet, kind, funny, and produces a great haircut with everything that I want. Plus, she's pretty easy to reach and the haircut was only $45 (not inc. tip). I strongly recommend her! - Abi , posted 02/12/05

Retro and Punk tiki beauty lounge
I get my hair cut by Walter at Wak Shack. He does an excellent job! I can just let him do his thing and it always comes out great. The environment is retro tiki lounge, and the conversation is pleasant and witty, with a hip flair that your grama's salon just doesn't have. The tools used are of the latest design, with the most current and interesting products. You can buy beauty products there, have your hair colored, and sliced and diced any which way. You get what you pay for and more...the cuts are about $60, not including tip. - Unsubscribed , posted 10/17/04
