My band Plasterkatz got the opportunity to be taped for Tribe TV, and we had one of "those" days; you know, technical difficulties left and right, wondering how much we were gonna suck that day. Well, despite the obstacles, it was a good time. The folks at Tribe TV are easy to work with, and they helped us out every way they could. (And Laurence is the funniest mofo they could have gotten to host the show!) The production quality is above par for public access style television, the camera work is top-notch, and the concept of shooting at local non-standard venues around the city gives it a really exciting urban feeling without succumbing to the hokey "local" look of other public access shows. They recorded both my bands "Plasterkatz" and "Crumpled Napkin" for different shows. Very cool people and waht looks like a high quality finished product. Can't wait to see how it comes out. - Sanchez , posted 02/14/05 |
