Went to opening night for this southern gothic tour de force. You must see it, its one of the strongest pieces I've seen at the Marsh. Penned as part of a residency program at The Marsh, San Francisco's 17 year old breeding ground for talent, The Magnificence of the Disaster traces the arc of a family imploding and the aftermath. Fisher's true crime rendering of Southern culture on the skids is poetic and riveting. Her performance is a darkly hillarious and nuanced observation on human frailty.
