it was a fantastic film. music from sigur ros....stunning scenery of Iceland (I adore it there) and the story was emotional. Not in a cheesy way but definitely one of those films that actually had me nervous and stressed for each character at different times. I like films that make me feel and this one did just that. - Anjanette , posted 06/30/06

The Girl in the Cafe: Not what you might think...
This movie had me mesmerized by Kelly MacDonald and Bill Nighy's potrayals of desparate, lonely people in a crazy world. When I thought about the title, I figured most people would think this is a 'chick flick'. While it does contain a fair amount of talking [some prefer less talk and more explosions], the film really has a larger, more relevant message and doesn't cheese ball you to sleep like some bad Hollywood flicks. I have no idea where you can see this other than on Sundance or on someone else's TiVo but it's well worth the watch.

The film can't be all that bad. One character refers to Bjork as the coolest woman in the world! - Darin , posted 07/12/05
