Claiming of Sleeping Beauty
Set in "long, long, time ago" fantasy land, The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty is both provocative and sensual. Using the old "rules" of fairy tale reality.. (Kings, queens, pages, festivals) and the old taboos of modern society (belts, spankings, homosexuality), this book incorporates the devilish sensualities of a young girl under her bed sheets at night with the shocking openness of a sex club.
Sleeping beauty rests in her castle and right away we are thrust into a sex scene wherein the "Prince" awakes her, not with a kiss, but with a passionate encounter, seemingly violating her and actually "Claiming" her for his own.
The story progresses and "Beauty" goes to live with the Prince in a castle wherein most other princes and princesses are kept much the same. Here Beauty learns what it truly means to yield and is befriended by a statuesque prince who gives her the tenderness that she has learned to fear.
I give this book a 4 out of 5. The only thing I would improve is perhaps the variety with which the slaves are punished. Rice obviously preferred to make spanking the main implement of yielding, but I could have used a bit more originality.
Enjoy the book. It's definitely a bed time read.
