A Singulalrly Extraordinary Work
Tho "people who know, know" about the miracle effect of doing morning pages and artist dates, it nevertheless must still be repeated that this woman really knew what she was talking about, especially when it came to the subject of "things that can depress and discourage" the artist. The best chapters are again impossible to choose from, however, the chapters on "poisonous playmates" and "crazymakers" are essential reading for all. I'm quite surprised there hasn't been more "buzz" about her... having said that, the books are still selling well. Twelve years I have doing morning pages now. My my, how time flies... - Daryl/Chokyi , posted 04/08/08

This isn't about the "artist," rather about self-discovery and introspection.
By Julia Cameron with Mark Bryan.

It's called a course in discovering and recovering your creative self for a reason. I picked up the book on a recommendation from a friend and I have grown exponentially. This isn't about the "artist," rather about self-discovery and introspection.

It’s a 12 week program broken down into chapters with each chapter representing a week. At the beginning of each chapter, Julia directs one to look at certain emotional blocks. At the end of the chapter, she creates tasks for one to do to circumvent the blocks. While these tasks are easy—one is not required to skydive unless one chooses to—the benefit is enormous. I am actively creating an amazing life because I'm living up to the potential I know I possess.

“The Artist’s Way” definitely helps one stay on the path of individuation. I recommend it to anyone with a pulse. - janedoh , posted 02/21/07
