I went here a couple of nights ago based on some good reviews on CitySearch. The ones trumpeting the "All You Can Eat" deal should have been enough to keep me away, but Sushi Hunter is in my neighborhood, so I had to give it a try. It's not run by Japanese people. There's no familiar yell of greeting as you walk through the door, and in fact the whole experience is kind of cold. Along with the less-than-attentive service, the portions were small. We ordered a sashimi dinner and a combo bento box, and all pieces appeared to be magically shrunken to 70% of their customary size. Granted, we didn't go there for the All You Can Eat deal (costs $23 bucks, they make all the food fresh as you order off a special menu) but I doubt we'll be going back to try it out. - Elliot , posted 04/14/05 |
