I went for some front-end work after a medium-serious collision, and decided to get another parking lot ding taken out at the same time. I told him 'I don't want to pay half the price of an older ('95) vehicle just for repairs, so it doesn't have to be perfect, but it _is_ a sportscar, so make it look decent' -- a vague request. He understood, recommended places we could repair instead of replace, and produced a quote in minutes - two thirds the cost of a few other shops. He then chopped a few hundred bucks off - just to make it cheaper. And it was done three days later, and it looks fantastic! The blends and lines are literally completely invisible. And through it all, he was an unbelievably charming guy, remembering my name and being very friendly. Father/son shop. There's no reason, I hope, to have a body shop on your speed dial, but these guys almost make me wish there was. Love the guy who says they're crooks but has no details! I had gotten a referral for these guys to do some minor body work. I get my headlight pushed in all the time becuase people seem to park by-feel in my neighborhood. Regardless I called ahead, the guy there offered to look up the part and price - quoted me the aftermarket value and we agreed that I'd bring it in to take a look. He took one look and told me that it would be cheaper for me to simply glue it than spend approximately $200 in parts and labor. Then he did the unexpected and got out some epoxy and tape and did it for me - no charge. I was so pleased I tried to give him some more buisness - as I had some other minor paint and body damage - he successfully managed to talk me out of the work. Said that it wasn't worth taking my money if all it would do would cause me to become a bitter customer. IF i have another body repair issue I will most certianly take it to these guys...never have I been treated so well. - Kira , posted 02/07/05 |

There was a period where my little Honda kept getting hit. I was never in the car nor was the car moving. Big things like SUVs would run over it. Stan Carlson made it better for much less than the insurance quote and they didn't laugh at me when I came back to have identical work done when someone else hit me. - Stacey , posted 10/20/04 |
