Used to be great, have gone way down hill
I used speakeasy for DSL and sDSL for a number of years. Early on they were phenomenal. Solid service and good customer service. Things definitely degraded both in quality and service the last couple of years. Their switch to pushing primarily business class service as an excuse to charge a premium over other, smaller, providers may have been part of it. I don't know. Now that they are part of BestBuy, that can't be a good sign. - Jim , posted 06/19/07

I've had no issues
I remember Speakeasy when they were an internet cafe in Seattle. I used to hang out there and surf usenet. Now they are this big company and the cafe burned down long ago, still I have had no issues with their Onelink servivce. It's not exactly lightning fast, but it's not slow either, at least not for me. Ive never had an outage and the customer service I've had has been great. - , posted 06/19/07

not a fan of Speakeasy.net
My housemates and I had been using Speakeasy for years. When we first signed up, their customer and technical support was very friendly and helpful. Frequently, though, the DSL itself was slow or down entirely.

Recently, my housemates moved out, and since I'm living on my own I decided to switch to a slower and therefore less expensive service through another company. I called to cancel my account with Speakeasy over a month ago and guess what I found out the hard way today? My service had not been canceled, even though the customer service rep I talked to reassured me it was. In fact, I was told I couldn't cancel it myself, that I would have to have the person who opened the account close it, and that just because I'm the person who gets billed doesn't mean I have any power to cancel. Well, isn't that nice? Not surprisingly, they're not going to refund my money. Granted, it was my bad for not getting a confirmation or ticket number when I called to cancel. Remember, folks, always get a confirmation number. Nonetheless, I am extremely displeased with the poor customer support, and feel the DSL really isn't as reliable as one would expect for that kind of cost. - sig , posted 06/19/07

Best customer support bar none
Onelink DSL, gives you DSL with no phone number.
Their VoIP is even adding free long distance calls.
Their customer service is "amazingly" friendly and "fun", they have a sense of humor! - KiltBear , posted 03/09/06
