Slumberjack worth buying
I have had a slumberjack 15 degree bag for about ten years and have found it to be a good brand. Yes, they are short on foot room (but you're supposed to wiggle about like a worm.) But the hollofill insulation works well in warm and cold weather. Many other bags overheat you in warm weather, but not the slumberjack. - Adam , posted 01/17/08

Slumberjack Bag
I had a square Slumberjack bag, also, a 20 degree bag, too. My husband and I had them so that they zip together, with the extra length at the feet below the zipper.

Last year we upgraded to a -20 degree bag because we live where it snows. The one thing that makes it a four star instead of a 5 star is that we lost foot room. The square bag was SOOO comfortable, with room to move my legs around. The new bag is more mummy and I can't bend one leg up comfortably. Also, as a bag to throw down at someone's house, it's TOO warm. Even in 50 degree weather in a tent, it's too warm.

The original bag was a five star and the "upgrade" is only a four star. - Elise , posted 01/15/08

Slumberjack Sleeping Bag
My trusty & well loved Slumberjack is also very well used. Averaging 20 trips a year or more, it has held up to my serious abuse. AND THE ZIPPERS on tents & sleeping bags are always the first to fail.

Slumberjack has their 800# printed right on the zipper pull tag for this very reason. They do stand behind their products & repair zippers at no charge. Yippee! So off it goes in the mail to get fixed (for the second time in 6 years). Luckily, it is winter & I won't need the bag until Springtime.

SLUMBER JACK SLEEPING BAGS:
This square Slumberjack bag is a zero degree rating & the only one that has ever kept me warm. Girls get cold easier, so buy a bag rated 20 degrees LESS THAN you think you might need. Bought my choice bag for $100 online.

Being a petite female, I loose myself in this over-sized bag made for hunters & fishermen. So large that I am able to cram a mini down comforter inside, which makes me very toasty. No geese or ducks on flannel print either. It's nylon shell & easy to machine wash. Front loaders - only was sleeping bags zipped up in a front loading washing machine on gentle w/ mild detergents.

I have also owned a 15 degree mummy bag called Yosemite from Northface - which DID NOT keep me warm under 30 degrees. Northface cheapest for $80 - so what do you expect? Bought it at Adventure 16 in San Diego Mission Valley 1994; Was able to sell it at a garage sale in 1997 for $40, so I did not loose much cash on that. The name people dig, but I didn't like the mummy style.

Also owned an early designed (pre 1994) Coleman bag - which are cheap & great for summer camping only. Eventually became the ratty bag I keep around in case of emergency. - danamite , posted 01/15/08
