While visiting The Sivananda Yoga Center, here's what I found: Thursday Sivananda Yoga www.sfyoga.com/ht... *Location: Sivananda Center 1200 Arguello Blvd. 10:30AM -11:30AM The Sivananda Yoga Center is located in a Victorian House with small sized rooms that have been converted into individual Yoga Studios. And the class sizes are small (there's enough room for about 6 -8 students). The teacher was well versed in Yogic Chants and called out the asanas in their Sanskrit and English names. The Sivananda Yoga Sequence can be approached on different levels therefore, everyone can benefit from their efforts. The postures have some variations which contridict my Iyengar routine. Yet, after class, I felt simply "divine." It was a workout AND a spiritual experience. Also, they offer a vegetarian lunch at $5.00 per person (though I didn't stay to taste it).
