We moved to the San Mateo area almost two years ago and have been on the hunt since the beginning for an outstanding local chinese restaurant. When we came accross this one a few months ago we were both blown away by the deliciousness of the food! I left feeling stuffed, yet still craving more. We've since gone back three more times and have yet to have a bad experience. We usually order the vegetable chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, and chinese broccoli, but have also ordered a beef dish, deep fried crab, orange chicken, and a few others that I cannot remember. On top of their excellent food, they also provide green tea at no charge which does not seem to be a usual practice at other restaurants. The reason I dropped one star off of this restaurant was because of the decor. I believe that the atmosphere does affect the complete dining experience. I have also noticed the the staff was slow to bring the check on more than occasion. Over all, if you live or visit the Peninsula, I highly recommend that you check out this restaurant. - Kristina , posted 07/07/07 |
