How can a restaurant with only two main dishes be so good?
Tired of waiting for indecisive friends who take 20 minutes to figure out what they want to order? Take them here! Shabu-Sen specializes in shabu-shabu and sukiyaki, traditional Japanese meals consisting of tender slices of beef, vegetables, pasta and tofu boiled in water or broth at your table. The staff are friendly (Iroha regulars may recognize a lot of them) and helpful -- if you've never tried these dishes before, they'll show you what to do. A pleasant, cozy atmosphere full of good food.

(Trivia: Shabu-shabu means "swish-swish," onomatopoeia for the action you'll use to cook the very thin slices of beef in the hot water.) - Linda , posted 10/20/04
