great local resource
They've got everything you need for a typical emergency or a small repair job, and they're open weekends. No need to rush down to Home Depot or Discount Hardware for the small jobs (although those places do generally have much greater selection and sometimes better prices). If you blow a fuse or need a drill bit, SF Hardware is your first stop. I've been going there for years and am always impressed that they have almost everything I need. - russ , posted 03/25/07

Shoddy merchandise and no support
S.F. Hardware sold me a garden hose that started springing leaks after one month. The owner would not give me a refund or credit towards another hose. Buyer beware! - Trebor , posted 07/17/06

Pretty good neighborhood hardware store
This hardware store has a pretty good variety, considering it is not very big. The prices are not always the best, but they do window screens on site, therefore they do have the best prices for custom screens. You can usually find Randy manning the front of the store in between helping the steady flow of customers. It is a family owned and operated business, which has custom paint, garden supplies, key making services, and the aforementioned custom screen making service. - Unsubscribed , posted 10/17/04
