Not just good coffee, but a genuine East Bay scene!
Royal Coffee is one of those neighborhood institutions - a place a cultural anthropolgist could have a field day, and a great coffee (or breakfast). It's a local biker scene, a place for the neighborhood self-employed to get their social fix for the day, and a virtual cat-walk of the area's pretty people. Visit either the corner location for pastries, poached eggs, and comfy chairs, or for those really in the know, the storefront down 62nd for beans, grounds, and black gold of many varieties.
