The BEST Veterinary hospital
I worked in 3 different veterinary hospitals in SF for 10 years. I don't go to any of them because Presidio is far superior to any hospital in the city!!!! They know that veterinary care is a COMBINATION of treating both the pet and the person. They encouraged me to visit my sick elderly cat and stay as long as I wanted. Other hospitals (like SF Veterinary Specialists) discourage visiting and act like the person is a bother and does not matter. I recommend Presidio (especially Dr Phillips) to anyone who wants both high quality medicine and caring, knowledgable doctors AND staff! Your pets will thank you!!!!! - Kathleen , posted 11/08/06

Dr. Moran is GREAT!
I found Dr. Moran to be fabulous. My elderly dog had lots of health problems while we lived in SF (for 2yrs) and he always took time to explain and discuss everything with me and would even do extra research on the interactions of drugs she was taking and then call back to see how she was doing. I did not like the other vet much the time or two I saw him-- I found him rather condescending. This vet is also pretty pricey! - Laura , posted 09/10/06

I hate them too!
They treated my cat like an inanimate object. I thought they were trying to squeeze every last dime out of me as well, telling me I needed this test and that test. My cat had a checkup from Dr. Bloom and he was pretty distant as well, I also had them clean and do a tooth extraction which went ok but they neglected to call me after the surgery was done for 2 hours. - Priscilla , posted 09/01/06

STAY AWAY
Bloom is cold and distant. Punctured a vessel in my cat's bladder and would take no responsibility. Gave some pills the next day while she continued bleeding even though we said we could not pill her. Developed an infection and fever. Just kept sending bills, didn't care, didn't inquire. This ordeal cost me thousands of dollars. I suspect to cover his tracks when he sent the records over to the specialist who saved her life, sent them with another vet's name in his office. Horrible, horrible uncaring, incompetent place. - Elizabeth , posted 10/17/05
