One Happy Mama!
Hi everybody -

I'm "Evil" Chris' mom. I'm really a good woman and he was a good boy. Just look at that sweet face. He must have fallen in with the wrong crowd when he left New York City and moved to Callifornia.

I was looking forward to being at a Plasterkatz performance when I visited last Summer. But, the possibility of an East Bay show just didn't materialize. (My crazy California relatives just won't go over bridges or through tunnels!) I was very disappointed.

Then, I was able to catch the Plasterkatz Webcast. Whew! What a relief! You know, mothers do worry about the company their kids keep.

I was so happy to see that PLASTERKATZ IS REALLY REALLY GOOD!!! I knew that Chris was good! But now I know that he is with a group of very talented musicians who play such a variety of instruments, styles and tunes - many of them great original material. I loved it!!! My favorite number is "The City is a River".

The audience loved them too and they were groovin' and having a blast! And Plasterkatz' music was getting better and better as the show continued.

I love to see my Chris having a good time and spreading his good vibes. It does my heart good to see that the musicians in Plasterkatz really enjoy themselves and their audiences too.

I'm looking forward to seeing the whole Plasterkatz band on my next visit to San Francisco.

I'm telling you this is one happy Mama! - Catherine , posted 12/23/04

The best time you'll have with your clothes on!
I have so much fun at every Plasterkatz show! The music is infectious, and so eclectic! Part folk, part jazz, part pop, part retro, part groove AND ALL ROCK & ROLL!!!
The originals are awesome, the covers rock out more than when the original artists did them, and the traditional songs sound like they never have before. When have you ever heard, Hills of Connemara as a groove rock song, or Cold Blows the Wind as a dirty rocker, or Turning Japanese as a power ballad, for that matter?
The original songs are inspiring & rock my socks off!
I feel so lucky to be in with this brilliant group of excellent musicians from such a diverse set of musical backgrounds. Every show is a BLAST! Everyone's always having a great time, and the hotties dancing in the audience at every show - OH MY GOD/DESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every show feels like MORE!

Haven't missed one yet! ;)

Neither should you. - Chris , posted 12/16/04

Jam on whole wheat!
These guys rock! When the first version of this band formed, there was a lead singer with his guitar, a bass player and a keyboardist. For the last year or so they've added another vocalist, a drummer, a female vocalist/mando/flute player and an electric mando player. Oh, and they got rid of that crappy keyboardist... but at least he brought beer to rehersals. The sound is full and warm and can even get hot Hot HOT! Every show is a good time not only because of their music but because of their fun and welcoming energy. JAM ON! - Unsubscribed , posted 12/02/04

Plasterkatz
Okay, so maybe I'm biased, too, but . . . What other group in the world would let me pick up a microphone and sing? The mantra, 'I'm an instrumentalist, not a singer' keeps popping through my head, and yet here I am, singing AND playing instruments for a band that has such an amazing sound. I love these guys way more than I should. - Megan , posted 12/01/04

Plasterkatz - living the illusion
I know, I'm the lead singer and songwriter for this band, so this might sound biased, but I think it's fair to give a review. After all, I'm the one member who can objectively say the reason this band has any sea legs whatsoever is because I've managed to surround myself with some of the finest, most talented musicians I've ever met. I can't help but have a blast every time I'm on stage with them. They produce such a wonderful vibe it's impossible to not be happy, even when things aren't going the way we'd like them to. Even if Plasterkatz is a flash in the pan, it's safe to say they've inspired me and showed me I can do things I only dreamed of as a kid. I can pretend I'm a rock star. And even if I'm not, I'm enjoying the hell out of the illusion. - That Callahan Guy , posted 12/01/04

This band could rock the tits off of a squirrel!!
Yup, that's right. This band is awesome! The Drummer is a freakin' god! If I werent attached I would slip him a roofie and have my way with him. There are other members too I guess they're ok, but that drummer....whew! - Sanchez , posted 12/01/04

What a band!
The combo of jam music, folk and hard rock kicks my ass. The band has a blast on the stage whenever they're playing and you can't help but dance to their stuff. Go see the Plasterkatz! - Misha , posted 11/16/04

A show you won't forget
A personal favorite of mine. They have a folksy, bluesy, bluegrassy alterna rocker thing going. It's food for your soul kinda music. - ђελŧђεr , posted 10/21/04

Fun Energetic Band
I love seeing these guys perform, they put on a fun show. They have a great range and their songs show a lot of musicality. The stand-up bass and array of drums give the group a big sound. The female singer really rocks and she's definitely the eye-candy of group, although the band is pretty hot in general. I think they need a sound guy, though, because on some stages they sound kind of muddy. But still this band is a fun night out! - miss , posted 12/02/04
