This is hands down the best Thai restaurant in the Bay! I have tried Thai restaurants in every city I go to and NONE can compare with Payathai. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years and I actually try to find better ones. It is not possible. This food is authentic and made with care. I reccomend the Coconut Chicken Soup. If you are ever in Hayward/Castro Valley area PLEASE visit PayaThai on B Street. It is a tiny hole-in-the wall place that I've been going to since my early college years. The small, family owned restaurant is charming and the food is incredible. My favorite dishes are they Tom Kha Gai (Chicken Coconut Milk Soup..the ONLY chicken soup I'll eat), Yellow Chicken Curry and the Chicken and Veggies with Peanut Sauce. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the service warm and friendly. Don't let the bright pink walls scare you (or the Hayward address), it is a wonderful place to go have authentic Thai food at reasonable prices and is well worth the drive. - Zyphire , posted 12/08/06 |
