Iyengar Yoga Classes with Tony Eason - "Pay what you can afford."
Tony Eason has studied yoga for ten years. As an avid cyclist, he came to yoga for the benefits of stretching. For five years he studied under Iyengar Yoga Teacher Mary Friedland. Tony continued to develop his personal practice and teaching skills with the guidance of Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher Kathy Alef, Ben Thomas, Tommijean Thomas Ph.D, Jaki Nett, and Nora Burnett. He apprenticed under Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor Janet MacLeod. He is a graduate of the Two-year Advanced Teacher Training Program of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco. His teachings are based on intricacy, timing, and sequencing. His teaching includes the use of Yoga props to encourage the ultimate benefit from each posture. Through yoga postures, he teaches students to pay attention to the alignment of their bodies, to become aware of the breath, and to control the mind.
Presently, he teaches at Goat Hall, James Howell Studio, Club One - Yerba Buena, and the San Francisco Tennis Club. Beginners, cyclist, and people of all levels and ages are encouraged to attend.
