What a surprise! I had NO IDEA that big soul diva voice was in there!! She has The Big Stuff : ) I saw her perform recently at The Rite Spot and kept thinking that ... She is a STaR! I have been trying to arrange a Crooners & Songbirds program at a local night spot around the corner from where I live... Have not got the guts up to ask her if she will perform....YET. Such presence has she! How many people are Crooners AND Songbirds? If you get a chance to hear her sing...don't miss it!! Oh yeah! Megan IS *all* THAT! ~confetta - Confetta , posted 11/03/05 |

That girl gives katya a run for her money, the voice of an angel ( a somewhat taudry angel) she has. And i simply adore. - Katya Lubnilla , posted 10/10/05 |

This is a major talent. I have requested her to perform for my next big private parties. She donated her talent to a fundraiser I threw and the room went still as she sung then erupted into cheers at the end of her song. She picks unusual songs that are timeless and often evocative of many diverse emotions including humor. Iona - Mrs.PartyBoy(tm) , posted 07/11/05 |

Soft-spoken until the music comes on. Then look out! This sultry chanteuse has style, wit and boy can she belt it out. - Robyn , posted 06/01/05 |

Megan better known to her fans as Spidra is one of the most talented performers that I've seen in SF. Her voice is sexy and sultry. My first glimpse of her performance was at Ebb Tide and her voice and movements were smooth, calming and seductress. Please check her shows out. - pengrin™ , posted 03/01/05 |

I can't decide which is better, Spidra's voice or the way she works a crowd. The combo, tho, is deadly. - Jason , posted 02/28/05 |

I heard stories about Spidra's singing for almost a year before I finally got to see her perform. All I can say is, it was worth the wait. Run, dont walk. And make sure you get a good seat! - limbo , posted 02/12/05 |

I was priveleged to access some of her songs online this morning. Her voice is elemental, pure and primal. Coupled with wickedly acerbic lyricism and mask-stripping perception, I found her songs are haunting and evocative. I think she could become a very important musician both nationally and internationally and I highly recommend that you all go and see her whenever possible - I know I will. - Unsubscribed , posted 02/04/05 |

I really like it because of the visual effect when she read it. You can get the feeling what she read and it was fun. - rico , posted 02/04/05 |

Your blood flowing? Your pulse racing? Your tears flowing? All you gotta do is come hear Megan Lynch sing. She can sing the down-home blues one moment, and then the next make Kurt Weill want to return to earth just to write her more songs. And hey-- bonus, she can sing "Rawhide" in Swedish. Not many singers can cover this many bases and do it as excellently as the incredible Ms. Lynch. - Mojave , posted 01/22/05 |

This goddess can put a chill up and down your spine and racing throughout your bod. She can make you hot with a wink and a trill and send one hell of a feverish thrill through you. The power of music gets it due coming through her and will reach you in the same place it originates. Her live performance made my toes curl and unfurl with pleasure. Bliss baby, bliss. She's a great beauty to behold. - Maile Laka , posted 01/20/05 |

Deeply talented, she can go from a lush, stroking tendril to a yeow-shoutin' hootenanny so you're stomping your boots (black lace up pointed and cowboy alike) in enthusiasm while cracking inside, disarmed by the mystery of how someone can be so well-honed while raw and sincere. She's myth made real. - khritteroo , posted 01/19/05 |

The only one I know who likes to sing showtunes, bawdy '20s music and yodel (sometimes all in the same song). - M , posted 01/18/05 |

As a singer, I'm particular about what I like when it comes to live music performances. When I saw this lady strut her stuff, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Besides having a powerful voice, she also had a captivating presence. Of all the acts I saw that night (there were many), she's the only one I would actively seek out again. - Whitney , posted 01/18/05 |

...your friends tell you they sing and then eventually they send you a cd and you listen to it and what do you usually find? they're so-so. NOT THE CASE WITH MEGAN. when i put her cd on my stereo, from the very first notes i was aMAZED. sistah grrl can SING! omiGOD!!! since i live in the soggy pacific northwest, i don't get to hear her live, dagnabit, but if i had the chance, i'd run - not walk! - to a show of hers! so do it! you don't get to hear real talent very often. hear her before she gets all famous so you can say you knew her when! - Unsubscribed , posted 01/17/05 |

Her voice has the power of a great Blues singer, the precision of a great Jazz singer and the passion of a Rock star! Listening to her work through her almost encyclopedic repetoire makes you wonder where this treasure has been all your life. Then, listening to her OWN songs makes you wonder... well.. WHERE HAS this treasure been all your life? Here's a handful of tracks... www.doubtfulpalace.com/artist...day.mp3 www.doubtfulpalace.com/artist...day.mp3 - Kelly , posted 01/17/05 |

Part songbird, part showgirl, part chanteuse. She is a vocal chameleon who deftly performs a wide range of music styles, including 20s jazz, old school bluegrass, cabaret, standards, obscure gems, Kurt Weill and intricate songs from the American songbook. Above and beyond her skills as an interpreter of melodies and lyrics, I have to admit a certain devotion to Lynch's own compositions -- songs written and honed to a level far beyond most "singer/songwriters." Her lyric mezzo voice fits beautifully with her repertoire, which spans at least a century of music. Whether performing sotto voce with a guitarist or roaring with a small combo, I heartily recommend Megan Lynch. - Trouble Porndawgie , posted 01/17/05 |
