Malabar Trading Company is a tea business run by a very nice couple in Santa Cruz. They find the best teas at auction, and make some very good mixes. They have great Darjeelings and Assams. They make up some flavored teas. My favorite is their black tea flavored with licorice. Their chais, especially the unusual Vanilla Rooibos and the divine Kashmiri chais, are delicious. But they have many, many more tea mixtures than these. One could spend some time sampling them all! They have a booth at the Saturday farmer's market in Aptos. Here they give out free samples, a great opportunity to check out their wares. They also take orders by phone, ship, and hand deliver in Santa Cruz on Mondays.
