The book is the thing
I've recently had the pleasure of finishing this book and it is an exceptional read. For anyone raised on the music of the Late 80's and the early to mid 90's this book is a nostalgic trip down memory lane all wrapped up in the celebration of a short but loving life shared by two people. Rob Sheffield, a long time contributing editor to Rolling Stone, presents the life he shared with his wife Renee Crist. From the beginning of their time together to the times following her untimely death in 1997. Along the way we are presented with mixtapes created by Rob and/or Renee which help keep time along with the journey. This book is a triumph of poignancy and nostalgia. If you have the time, I highly recommend reading this book. - Alex , posted 05/28/07
