Total ripoff, Steven Lopez only seeks money for nothing
What can I say that hasn't already been said here? This guy is disorganized and sloppy. I worked harder in two days sitting on my ass than Lopez did in six months getting ready for this thing. Communication was non-existent. I found out a week before the event that I should set up on Thursday, not Friday morning, and it was because I called him. He provided little or no information. Tattoo artists there told me that they were not informed of a health department fee of $400 they had to pay when they arrived. In my opinion he should know and inform vendors of every required fee and permit needed rather than have everyone doing their own research and duplicating efforts. I was there two days and sold two shirts on the second day.
I hope he lost his ass doing this worse than anyone and that his business tanks. - Rob , posted 07/16/08

FYI for vendors and motor cyclists alike
Where do I begin? This event was a bomb as well as a bust in my pocket along with other vendors. As soon as I drove in I could see the over abundance of food vendors selling the same items.Myself included. Many were already discouraged from the start. Awesome array of non-food vendors I was amazed at the quanity and quality of goods. I was still positive because the activities posted on Los Banos Motor Cycle Rally site was everything one would expect from a bike rally. Poker run, raffles, bikini contests, crazy fun promised (check it out) - these did not happen by the way, money was taken from bikers and vendors alike. Bikers were not even told that the charge went to the non existent poker run. I watched and listened...(had time, no one there) However the burnouts, performances and trophies were given out, 3 bikes in all. Excessive sheriff, police and probation were everywhere. More so then at the Spring Fair this year, I was there. My lic plate was run in, vendors were checked out along with bikers. Power of the pen will not stop here concerning that subject. Anyway, the dunk tank sat there, rumor of kids having to pay to go play. Many people were confused, were we at a bike rally as was advertised? Trust me no Perfect Angelz here. Or was it a Christian bike rally? Music performers were as confused as the rest of us. Many food vendors decided to band together to address the situation. None of us were making rent. I did not after 2 days of being there at least I was not far from home like many vendors. I would have thought that Steve Lopez the promoter would have addressed us individually after initial concerns.I would have given him credit and respect for that. He sent a friend of his to speak with us. Sunday he walked by us and never said a word. Never mind the fact that I was picking up my other trailer. I was out in the boonies by myself everyone else fled the scene. Damage control was not going to happen. They still charged at the gate for a little while then stopped. By then I could not get my awnings in fast enough I just wanted to go home. Steve Lopez will have to work hard for damage control after this event. Many thanks to the Hells Angels and S&M motorcycles and many other vendors for their patronage. - Mel , posted 07/15/08

Steve Lopez (American Marketing Productions) & Los Banos Motorcycle Rally
Asshole of the week (vying with Isleton Chamber of Commerce) is a so-called promoter from the Gilroy - Morgan Hill area by the name of Steven Lopez, aka Steve Lopez doing business under the name of "American Marketing Productions." Stay way from him and his company. He is very bad news.

Short story, he's a pig! For more information, see: misguided, dishonest, racist, unscrupulous, two-faced, unprincipled, insensitive, worm like backbone, dumber then shit, liar, soulless, heartless, and clueless.

This is a promoter who told vendors they'd be the only ones selling whatever item they wanted. He told me I'd be the only one selling corn, chicken and sausages. He told BBQ vendors they'd be solo. There were 4 BBQ vendors. Everyone sold corn, chicken and sausages. Steve Lopez of American Marketing Productions, who produced(sic) the Los Banos Central Valley Motorcycle Rally told every vendor what they wanted to hear, not the truth.

He told us there would be in excess of 5,000 bikers. He told some major merch vendors there would be over 25,000 bikers. He sold us all space. No one showed up.

He became the first bike rally promoter to charge at the gate, forcing dozens to turn around.

He could not negotiate with the police presence leaving the Merced County Task Force van parked prominently just inside the gate further alienating potential attendees. No posted schedule of events. Just take the money and run. Which he did. He has plans to produce a similar event, and perhaps rip off other vendors and bikers next year. No way!

If anyone is promoting a Los Banos Motorcycle Rally it could be this parasite. He is not to be trusted as he has no respect for the riding public or his vendors. - Phoenix , posted 07/14/08
