one of my faves, personally yeah, it's a little loud. but fun, and vibrant.
the food could only be considered slow if your date is boring and you're not having a blast chatting away.
i've had wistful dreams about the food, especially the pork chop and the empanadas.
the waiters are friendly and have excellent suggestions.
and yes, the sangria is superb.

Good for drinks and small plates I had a couple of glasses of wine, the stuffed squid appetizer and a saffron rice dish appetizer. Both were quite delicious with fresh and balanced flavors. The stuffed squid was tender and creamy. The rice dish was perfectly cooked and spiced. It was kinda pricey though and probably a bit overpriced for that neighborhood. I think the food was better than Destino's a few blocks away. Destino's food might be the better value however.

very authentic, great sangria! the first time I went there the food and service was excellent, the second time they were busy and the service was a little slow. The third time service was good, the Pollo Saltaldo was a little salty and the ceviche (which they are known for) was a little to limey.
Overall, really good food and atmosphere. The BEST sangria ever!

Fun ambiance, Mediocre Food I enjoyed watching the trendy 60's pop culture surroundings, but the food was mediocre at best. Service was somewhat slow and the place was crowded and LOUD. Drinks were solid.

Ceviches and More of the Best Latin American Food This restaurant started on a small locale, but soon it became so popular that now they have relocated to a bigger location. Try the ceviches and the empanadas and the Peruvian soda, Inca Cola.

Plate-licking Good I had to restrain myself from licking the plates after devouring every last possible bite of everything I ordered at this new Peruvian spot on Valencia. Super chic but not snooty atmosphere and a super sweet hostess who made every effort to seat us well. And the sangria was incredible, with tiny little cubes of delicious succulent fruit at the bottom of the glass.

Tasty Peruvian food Best tasty peruvian food that I've eaten. I don't know what to recommend because I've eaten most of their dishes and it's all tasty. I would recommend their warm chocolate cake as the finishing touch. It's a bit on the pricey side and their sangria is smooth and slight sweet. Please try it.

Peruvian Food Interesting urban twist on traditional Peruvian dishes. Also, a prix-fixe special for groups. Try the empanadas and the lomo saltado, with a pitcher of sangria.

Limon most certainly does rock I had an incredible pan-seared halibut with a garlicky-lemony sauce. Light, clean, zesty flavors.
