I highly reccommend the film 'Leonard Cohen I'm your man.' The film is pretty much a concert film of various artists covering Leonard Cohen's songs heavily revolving around Nick Cave and Rufus Wainwright. So you have two-thirds of the holy trinity right there. (Leonard Cohen - the Father, Nick Cave - the Son, and Tom Waits - the Holy Spirit). The finale is Leonard Cohen singing 'Tower of Song with U2 as a backup band. Rufus Wainwright's performance of 'Hallelujah' is worth the price of the ticket alone. He is always there with the right words for just about any of life's situations. There is a spirituality of truth in Leonard Cohen's writing. - Unsubscribed , posted 07/16/06 |
