Lafayette Reservoir is the best place in Lafayette to fish, picnic, and walk/hike trails. They have a paved trail (~ 2.2 miles) that goes around the lake and is heavily used by the community. A great place to meet people! If you are more interested in hiking there are great trails that go around the rim of the basin and offer some great views of the Rec Area (see photo). Fishing is great and there are also lots of places to picnic. Located off Mt. Diablo Blvd. just west of downtown Lafayette. - mattyJ , posted 10/07/04 |
