a lounge of yuppie posers
This is another Kingman's lounge, which seem to be springing up around the East Bay as the bedfellow of Starbucks. You walk into a place like this, and if you are truely hip, you immediately realize that most every one in there is simply some insipid yuppie trying to pose as if they are cool - which they most certainly are not. The interior has a very artificial and bovine appearance, with lighting that is trying to hard to be sexy. This place is a prime example of the gentrification of the East Bay, as several bar's in Alameda, Oakland, and elsewhere have been taken over and turned into these cheesy, prosaic "lounges," as the word "bar" is now too much of a working class term for these sorry, pathetic yuppie posers. If this place does not make you sick, you might want to try looking for your individuality, which you have obviously lost.
