Peace, Joy and Cleanliness
I really find my time at the Kabuki to be like a slow transport device. It takes about two hours and I'm in another place. A peaceful forgiving place, a place where get to go first and place where a smile comes really easy. I’m not saying this is the only transport that I know. But it’s a good one. I usually go with a few mates and we all come out clean and re-done. I’ve never had a massage at the Kabuki, maybe too much of a good thing. I don’t know. I get my massages elsewhere. For $20 or $25 dollars I can’t think of nicer afternoon. After 10 punches to your free frequency card you get a free one. What’s better? - Thomterrible , posted 06/17/06

Great facilities, but very disappointing experiences.
I have been to the to the Kabuki several times and while the have a amazing facilities the atmosphere sucks. I found the silence rules to be oppressive and the vigor at which my fellow bathers were hushing annoying. (I was not the recipient of the hushing) It seems like each time I have gone the atmosphere has become more and more strident. It would be great if they had a none silient time or a designated time for quite time.

I have also been very disappointed by the quality of massage. I have received three to date and none of then was worth the price. I receive regular massage and found that theses lacked flow and were very stiff.

In sum Great facilities, but very disappointing experiences. - Kat , posted 06/14/06

Path to a better Life
This is a good inexpensive way to relax in the City. $20 gets you in for the day, soaking and sweating, relaxing in the silence and companionship of all the other naked men around you! - FireWolf , posted 04/30/05

Quiet In The Middle Of The City
This is my getaway place when I can't escape the city. No loud chitchatting is allowed, which is good. Everything is provided: soap, towels, lockers. Great deal for 20$! Massage is a plus, too. Both swedish and shiatsu is offered. - Unsubscribed , posted 03/13/05

Evening with the girls
Wedesday or Friday after work, make a date with a couple of close girl friends, sisters and/or mom, to meet at the Kabuki! Spend time soaking and quietly visiting, before heading out for some light Japanse fare. - SF Native , posted 10/19/04

Relaxing amazing baths
There is a hot pool, a wet and dry sauna and an endless array of other service at this spa. The communal bathering is exemplary. Only women are admitted on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays are reserved for guys. Tuesday is coed, and you must wear a bathing suit. - Erin , posted 10/15/04
