white noise from black mtn owns a piece of my heart
Disclaimer: spent 3 participating in the station. A finer group of serious serious music appreciators and makers and shakers I haven't found yet and you won't. Envelope-pushing is de rigeur, even if the envelope is authenticity or completeness of a classic genre, label or artist. Don't hesitate to check back every hour while streaming online, because the programing on KFJC is like the weather in scotland, only it doesn't suck. - Logan 5 , posted 10/25/06

Long live KFJC
The loss of KFJC would signal the coming of a really bad apocalypse. I've loved it not just as a listener, but as a musician. They've played my music and given me a live on-air performance. Their stickers are still on my musical gear. :) - Polly , posted 04/22/05

Best college radio
For dancers, there's Ann Arbor at 6am on Wednesdays - and it's worth it to wake up for the show to DANCE.

The surf music and guitar show introduced me to what are now some of my favorite genres.

Even while living in Berkeley, I'd always switch from KALX to KFJC because it's consistently great programming, even if it's country music (in which case I switch to something else!) - Susie , posted 02/03/05
