I recently watched a movie called Hostage, starring Bruce Willis. It was the worst movie I've seen in a long time. However, I did realize one important thing from watching it, and it is this: Willis is a COMPLETE PANSY compared to the stoic efficiency of Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer. I laughed as Willis broke down several times under pressure, crying and panicking, all the while practicing what is commonly known as melodrama. Another thing I realized is that as a big fan of 24, I have a hard time watching action movies without comparing the action hero to Jack Bauer (a la Fox, watching Sean Penn in The Interpreter). And as you can guess, they all pale in comparison. So, if you want to see a failed attempt at suspense and heroism, go watch this movie. I'm sure you'll walk away with even more respect for the man, the myth, the legend of Jack Bauer.
