I just can't say enough good things about Good Vibrations. Not only do they have a full line of sexual pleasure devices for both men and women (and the gender-fluid!), but they have many great adult videos, lots of sex manuals and erotic fiction, and many big jars of individual condoms and tiny bottles of intimate lube. One of the best features is, they have classes on everything from Safe, Sane, and Consensual BDSM (try Erotic Spanking, Kissing, or Safe Rope Bondage or Flogging!), to Ethical Polyamory, Ways to Meet Lovers and Flirt or Get People in Bed, and YES, perhaps best of all--VERY open-minded staff who will answer ANY honest, sincere question on sex. My lover got some great advice on how to ehance intimate relations with his long-time partner, and the right sex toys. They worked magnificently! And me.... back when I was still celibate and wondering IF and WHEN I'd have a sex/love partner EVER again, I just HAD to ask, "WOW, great line of toys, videos, and books here.... but I wish you could tell me how to find a LOVER with whom to share all this wonderful stuff?!" By the way, they support Masturbation and those of us who Masturbate.... whether or not we have partners or want them! The staff are as sexually diverse and educated as the people who visit this shop. Good Vibes has a shop in SF as well. At least one other. They truly know their sex products... Can't wait to get the new ohmibod! A way cool vibe that moves to the rhythms of your music when plugged into your ipod. Saw them on sale last night at Good Vibes, my fave sex toy and erotica store. It's well lit, has very friendly staff folks who are straight shooters (pardon the pun) and do not say "Ewwww" when you ask detailed questions about the flared butt plugs. Joani Blank, one of my sheroes started the store as a woman owned collective.
