they know me by name
and i love them for it. i used to spend $$$ on shipping between j-list and giant robot and now i can walk about 20 blocks and do a little shopping in 3-D. Derek is an especially helpful and great guy to talk to for recommendations about product or happenings around town. - Unsubscribed , posted 01/06/05

Love the store as much as the magazine
If you're looking for great Asian pop culture coffeetable books, obscure vinyl scupltures and toys and the best selection of hipster tees around go directly to this store. They also have hard-to-find Japanese horror films on DVD for sale. If you haven't read the magazine Giant Robot, pick up the latest copy and any back issues they have for sale here too! - Bonnie , posted 12/23/04

Hipster's Paradise
After opening 2 stores in LA, Asian American magazine Giant Robot has come to SF. The store has a great selection of merchandise. The weird thing is that the staff is strangely distant and rude, at least on the few occasions I've been. And that, my little rude friends, has cost you a star. - mark , posted 10/21/04

Cool stuff!
Art books, funky toys, clothing, comics and zines....all the cool stuff that you see in Giant Robot, a magazine that extensively covers Asian and Asian-American pop culture. (www.giantrobot.com) - terry , posted 10/20/04

Best Japanese anime store
Awesome little store off of Shrader. A store to definitely check out. A lot of cool T-shirts and cute little items all over this small store. - pengrin™ , posted 10/17/04

All things cute and quirky
For Japanese cutesy, original t-shirts, arty design books, and miniature collectibles, this is it. It's a bit on the pricey side but if you're one of those people who is an obsessive compulsive collecting freak, and who's home is littered with biblical action figures, kung fu movies, DIY art, and mismatched retro borderline cool furniture, you better skimp on your next ironic ebay purchase. Go here for your ugly doll fix. - joy , posted 10/16/04
