 I went to one of the vegan nights at the Ghetto Gourmet, and was more than impressed, I was in awe. I had never been to an underground restaurant and was unsure of what to expect, but I amazed and awed by the hosts, the entertainment, guests, and most of all the food! Rich and complex, there were a lot of ingredients that I'd had before but never prepared so fine, or paired so perfectly with other flavors! My fiance and I have been going to the Ghetto Gourmet's private dining experiences since March 2003. Unlike other private catering events, theirs are intimate and often feature a local artist, musician, poet, etc. Love the ambiance and people. - V , posted 04/28/05 |
