This movie totally cracked me up. The actors were rigid and the characters moved around the screen with the fluidity of a Junior High School play. You could almost hear the director giving instructions: "when the captain stands up, you three guys get up and walk over here." And they did exactly that. Plus, we get to see a strapping young Leslie Nielsen actually try to play a serious role! The movie drags a little towards the end (or maybe I was just tired) but it is worth it - a throwback to the days when flying saucers really did look like, well, saucers. - Brian , posted 03/11/05 |
