One of my favorite places in the world....
Great for tidepooling and an amazing beach too. I went Dec 1st and saw many seals about 10 feet off the beach. Be sure to go during low tide. - Anna , posted 12/28/04

Don't forget the inland part
While tidepooling is the main attraction here (check the tide tables to make sure you're going near low tide), you'll also want to walk along the inland trail just east of the top of the cliff. Outstanding wind-blown trees and other seaside views. - Tony , posted 11/03/04

Incredible tidepools in a gorgeous, remote stretch of coastline
Kids love tidepools, but this is also a peaceful, beautiful spot for walks regardless of the tides.
A few miles north of Half Moon Bay, less than an hour's drive south of San Francisco.
