Fellini fails with large parties
Fellini management fails when attempting to accomodate large parties. I found this out the hard way when I planned my graduation day brunch with the restaurant’s manager/owner, Jeff, three weeks in advance of the occasion. In the planning stages, Jeff was extremely enthusiastic and hospitable, and since I had a large party of 30 people (and I informed him there could potentially be even more guests), he assured me that he would reserve the spacious front room of the restaurant. I spoke with him several times before the event to confirm this arrangement. The morning of my graduation brunch, I arrived at Fellini to find that Jeff divided my guests into two separate smaller rooms in the back of the restaurant, explaining that, “when you have a large group, not all the guests talk to each other anyway.” When I explained to him that this was a breach in our initial agreement, he told me that I could, “go find another restaurant” if I had a problem, knowing that my guests were arriving at that moment. Beware of planning an event for a large party at Fellini; prior agreements with the owner, Jeff, run the risk of producing utter disappointment.
