Along with our regular collection of ecological arts and craft supplies, office and educational supplies, paper and fabric, we now also carry reused vintage furniture, framed art, glassware, jewelry, home decor, and all sorts of other wonderful stuff for teachers, artists, parents, decorators, environmentalists, Burning Man participants, thrifty shoppers, and treasure hunters of all persuasions. - East Bay Depot fo... , posted 07/25/07

Cheap artsy supples galore!
I get the feeling that this place could only happen in Berkeley. It's packed floor to ceiling with all sorts of arts-n-crafts supplies, from recycled yogurt jars and test tubes to paper you can purchase by the inch (i.e., paper stacked an inch high!) to fabric to... well, you fill in the blanks.

The best place to go for good deals
Excellent for art projects, office supplies, calendars and magazines. Mention you're a teacher and save a little more. They also sometimes accept donations but the last two times I've been in they've had so much good stuff they wouldn't take any more due to fire marshall issues. I always leave with armfuls of stuff and never pay much more than five bucks. East Bay Depot is love! - nicole , posted 10/09/04

Crafters, artists, and teachers go here!
Like Urban Ore, the Depot is another one of those not-quite-a-thrift-store places. The Depot collects old jars, paint, crayons, notebooks, pads of paper, mugs, egg cartons, milk jugs, fabric scraps, books, shiny papers, and all manner of random odds and ends. This is a fabulous place for teachers to pick up cheap art materials. There's always a huge turnaround of stuff, so go frequently to find treasures! - Unsubscribed , posted 10/06/04
