Had no problems with them...
since my brother custom built my computer , stopped using their software and I got cable. I've had more issues with that but that is TWC fault for sucking ass. For the most part, I forget I even have Earthlink as a "service" though I've been with them for 10 yrs. Didn't know they were own by those crazy ass crazy scientologists but as long as no merde from hubbard shows up, I'm good. - onlineKaisenji , posted 02/24/08

My experience
I signed up for Earthlink many years ago and had th most frustrating experience. First problem was that no one in their customer service department could spell. My handle has bee Puzzlefox for years yet when signing up for Earthlink they spelled it wrong 3 times! Even when I spelled it out to them over the phone (P as in Paul, U as in umbrella) they still couldn't get it right.

Second was their software. I had to get 4 different installation CD's and none of them worked on my PC. There was nothing wrong on my end, I had plenty of memory and the right computer etc. So after countless hours on hold and with their tech department I just sent the whole mess back to them and went with another carrier.

This was years ago, I'm shocked they are still in business. - Jezebel , posted 02/24/08

Earthlink does not know customer service
I have had a string of lousy customer service problems with Earthlink. They do not have 24/7 technical support. The support they do have was not always educated on how to troubleshoot. And the final straw today was at 8:00 am on a Sunday morning a nice lady (who prob does not know where Calif is) called me .... (mind you after many years of being a loyal customer) to thank me for being a customer. That was all.

Not to say they are lowering my rates. Not to say they are giving me more services. Not to say they found someone hacking into my account.

Just to say thank you.

I mean, if only there was some way a person could let another person know something ... that is not intrusive and that the other person could access the information at their convenience. Like .... oh... maybe email. - Alan , posted 02/24/08
