Best Damn Welsh Bar in the City It's also the only damn Welsh bar in the city. I spent a lot of time in Wales and in Welsh pubs, and Dylan's is fan-freaking-tastic. It's got more Welsh memoribilia than I've ever seen, which makes you nostalgic for the giant red lizard country. The bartenders are exceptionally nice, the beer is cold and the cocktails are both well mixed and heavy. Dylan's also has a fire that's burning most chilly nights.
Also, it's the official clubhouse for the San Francisco Vespa Club, so check out the hot scooter people and have a drink!
Happy Bartenders make happy drinkers I've been going to Dylan's for years, and I always smile when I read the quote above the bar: "Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light." -Dylan Thomas. (for this is a Welsh pub, the only one in the city). There's always ample room for you and your gang of friends, but even if you're alone it's still a friendly place. And I never know what I'll find when I show up. I think once I was there for a goth/punk show, Lurid Bliss, and I was like "goth - dylan thomas? sure" and it was a good show.
Don't know why but I love the ambiance Yes, its your neighborhood Welsh bar, but they allow dogs have a fire place in the back and seem to do trivia night at random times (which can be surprisingly fun).
Decent jukebox, friendly people, high ceilings, overall this place has a great feel. Tell me if you think I'm wrong...
