One of the things you notice as you get older is how a doctor's perception of you changes. Since I have no kids ( and thus not a lot of revenue for an HMO group) I found that my concerns were glossed over and and in some cases ignored. I finally found Dr. C - someone who said - my god, you should have had that test a year ago! She actually listens to you and you know shw cares. I ended up going to see Dr. Callaghan when I had just had a bad experience with another doctor, and needed a follow up. She was really easy to talk to, explained things in a way that made sense, put me at ease, and had some great suggestions outside of taking more antibiotics. I'm such a convert that I would jump up and down for joy should she be the only doctor I go to see again, and she does women's exams! Yay for Dr. Calaghan!
