I have been there quite a few times for some much needed work and got a really decent price, honest and straightforward. They did a great job. They were also really good about explaining everything they were doing without making me feel like a dumbass. Which is not an experience I get from most mechanics, being a woman and all. Plus they crack the odd really cheesy joke and have a resident dog named pepper. Love them. They are the only ones I would want to call if I get stuck on the side of the road (about which- see me in the air cooled VW's Tribe). - iømi , posted 09/15/04 |

I recommend D & L Engines on San Pablo. I think the address is 2525. Right across the street from Big O tires in Berkeley. No chance of being lied to, and the prices are totally reasonable.
