If/when you need any work done on your car (not cosmetic just mechanical) I manage a shop in Berkeley and can not only make sure you get a good price for the work but can also guarantee that what get's done is needed. We specialize in clutches (std trans obviously), axles and brakes but are a general automotive shop and can do anything from oil changes to complete engine rebuilds or swaps. We even get a lot of sublet work (for clutches, which is a BIG job) from other shops due to our low prices and short turn around time. We do NOT bait and switch - beware shops that quote low prices to get you in the door but forget to include things like labor (ala the $39 brake job - which won't include things like resurfacing the rotors or, sometimes, putting the wheels back on!). If you mention this posting, or print it out and bring it in, I'll give you 10% off labor or $20 off (whichever is MORE). For anything BIG (like a rebuilt tranny or engine) I'll give you $100 off!!
