But it's pretty pricey. I love the wonderful selection of tools and gadgets. For some reason I've always loved going to hardware stores, I think it's the sense of possibilites of what you can do--given the time and tools. Cliff's is a Castro institution, serving the neighborhood for decades (since the 1930s, actually). Their window displays, which change about once a month, are always a delight. The main store has a huge range of everything - toys and games, kitchen and bathroom accessories and fixtures, home and garden supplies, hardware, paint ... you can even get keys made. Their other storefront next door has more: shower curtains and bathroom fixtures, fabric, costume accessories, and more.
