Someone on the Sustainable Practices & Technology tribe belongs to City Car Share, which they say is great for somebody who doesn't need a car all the time. You can do it. After almost 2 years of wondering if I should ditch the car, I did it -- b/c of horrible parking near my new digs. I don't miss the weekly tickets, the 20 minute parking search marathons, etc. There are pods all around the city, near my work, home, etc. and I have always been able to get a car. Once you get used to the system, it's way easier than you would think. cheap too, given the ever increasing price of gas. - Liz , posted 10/19/04 |
