Delicious nuevo latino cuisine
Caf? de la Paz is one of the Bay Area's orignal Nuevo Latino and Tapas restaurants. It is also one of the East Bay's best destinations for fresh, distinctive seafood dishes. The menu includes meat, seafood, and many vegetarian options.
If you're going on a weekend, it's best to make a reservation because it can get very crowded. When it's crowded, the service can be slow. Weekday lunch is a good time to go. Brunch is served on weekends.
These are my favorite items:
-Venezuelan corn pancakes
-Fish of the day, which is pumpkin-seed crusted and served with mango salso, mashed potatoes, and plantains
-AN ABSOLUTE MUST: Chocolate mocha kahlua experience, a rich chocolate mousse topped with kahlua whipped cream and almonds. YUM!
