People ask me all the time. Who is Friday Love. Well its kind of sad so if you are blue today pass this one up ok?? 2001 I lived on the Island of Bainbridge. My girl and I are having a very bad pregnancy. He (the baby) is sitting on her cervix and well that ain't a good thang. She wakes up in blood and off to the Hospital we go. 22 weeks is world record for pre mature birth. The doctor and the midwife said that no Herculean efforts would be made to save him, He was just to young. 21 weeks ain't long. Ain't long at all. We walked in thinking we had a hospital visit and ended up @ the birth of our son. The midwife said to make this as good as we could. get tapes from the car anything that will make the space better for you. I ran down grab a buju tape and a wrap I use as a scarf. Upstairs her 5 year old is hungry and so am I. back with food and the room is a buzz. He is coming. She screams @ me to get the food out of the room. back in side I see my son start to crown. I see my first born son coming in to the world. They said i couldn't catch him. They cut the cord w/ out asking me. Looking down on him as he passed from his in ability to use his under developed lungs I cried. We all stood mother, midwife, son, boyfriend and I ask what to name him. She and I met eyes and said "Friday" like our fore fathers we would take the day of the week as the child's first name. Looking over to where the 5 year old sat I ask what about a middle name. He bald out,screamed out through blurry eyes "Love" Friday Oct. 13 2001 I lost a son. His name was Friday Love Dibiase. I started using Friday Love as my dj name not long after. Ummm.... that it.
